If you want to be absolutely sure (or maybe your FTP server needs a breathing space), make a dummy profile that points to two dummy folders (C:\Dummy1\ & C:\Dummy2\ for example) as Source & Dest. Put the same dummy file in each dummy folder (which avoids prompts about 'no files found'), and add a delay of X seconds in Modify > Expert > Misc > 'Pause for...'
Then add it to the Group between the two 'real' ones.
You can use that same delay profile in multiple groups (but not if they are nested; neither can you use it more than once in any single group. All profiles in any one group - or set of nested groups - must be unique)
Thanks for you answer, David. However, I'm not sure I understand the "dummy" job necessity, probably because I don't understand the "Pause for" function.
Could I not simply put a "Pause for" in the second profile in the group, allowing some breathing room for the first to finish? When exactly does the pause take place? I'm assuming at the beginning of the profile.
