License and updates/upgrades

Hi,

I'm not able to find any information about the ability/right to install updates or upgrades of the product when having a license.

I'm planning on buying one now, but I've seen the announcement of the BETA release of V7, which (likely) means this version will be public somewhere in the near future. Will it be possible to upgrade to this new version with a license key bought now, or is a new license necessary?
