Hi
At our school we have a mixed network: a OS X server with Mac and Windows machines. The problem arises because the Windows 7 machines are not able to join the OS X server domain. So, I have a kind of triangle situation. Person A works on a machine logged in to the domain and saves/changes/deletes documents in directory Dserv of the server. Another person B works on her Windows 7 laptop (with a local account), but she is able to reach directory Dserv. So she can also save/change/delete documents in directory Dserv. Thus, when she works at school there is no problem. On her laptop she has a identical directory Dlap which she uses when she works at home. Once back at school directories Dserv and Dlap need to be synchronised. I made a profile to do this automatically on Windows login, which runs unattended. What is then the problem? This profile makes directory Dserv identical to Dlap (not the other way round). This is not good because, for example, person A deleted a subdirectory Dsub which isn't needed anymore and what happens, because Dsub still exists on the laptop he is created again in Dserv.
What the profile should do is: synchronise changed files with Dserv, copy new files to Dserv and, delete in Dlap the files/subdirectories which don't exist anymore in Dserv. I haven't been able to make a profile which does this (automatically). So I would like to run the present script attended, but this is impossible because the option "On shutdown/logoff run unattended, i.e. do not prompt me" is grayed out.
Is there a way to change this option, or is there a profile that suits my problem?
Hope someone can help me.
Many thanks in advance.
Danny
