Hello,
I have a simple question concerning backup. I am using SyncBackSE latest version on Windows Vista. Suppose some of the source data is damaged (physically due to disc damage, or in some other way, say write error). When doing a backup, will the program (SyncBack) assume that the data in question (files, folders that due to damage cannot be read) have been deleted by the user ? If so, will it delete the backup copies of the same from the destination ? I am asking this question because some free backup applications have got this fault. You will agree with me that it would be extremely annoying to have one's files deleted in the backup just when one needs it the most. Is there any way to regulate the programs behaviour in a similar scenario ? In my view the only way to tackle this problem would be that syncBack keep an evidence of all your file management activity (new files, deletions...). I don't know if it is the actual case. I am a new user, still on my trial, if anyone could reassure me on this point, that would be great, because otherwise I think SynkBack is really a top toy.
