Syncback kills my wifi

Didn't find the answer here, and to be fair, I'm not going to say with absolute certainty SB is killing my wifi, but the evidence is suggestive.
I have a Netgear router which allows cabled (cat5) ports and a wireless network. Attached to that by cat5 is an Engenius AP. I've had trouble for over a year, literally, with wifi stopping for no apparent reason - connection never lasting more than 2 days. I've written to Netgear and Engenius a number of times and tried far too many suggestions. After all these contacts, both companies concluded their devices were working properly.
For reasons no necessary here, I exited SB a month ago and for 2 weeks, my wifi connection ran perfectly. Restarted SB and with 12 hours, lost wifi. Exited SB and wifi ran for 4 days. Restarted SB and lost connection in <24 hours. Exited SB and wifi ran 5 days. Restarted SB yesterday and wifi was lost when I woke up this morning. I see no settings in SB that should affect wifi but I'm not even to the level of novice on all things wifi so I may be missing something.
Is it possible SB is the culprit in losing wifi and, if so, how do I resolve this?
To help troubleshoot, I want to explain 'lost' wifi. On all wifi devices, I get something similar to 'connection failed' or 'authentication error.' On Android device specifically, the connections attempts cycle through Connectioning, Obtaining IP, Disconnecting.
