Backup recent file on the cloud with versioning?

Hi, I tried to set up a backup of recent files on the cloud with SBP but so far with no success, maybe I am missing something.
The backup would be from the user folder in the PC (source) to a folder that is syncronized online (DropBox, SkyDrive, SugarSync, etc.) copying just the recent files, i.e. the files that have been created/modified in the last X days.
Since the backup is on the cloud with encryption keys known by the provider, I need to use encryption on destination.
And versioning of course, to be on the safest side (retention of Y days).

So, I built a profile for that and since it must track files when moved from a folder to another (otherwise things like just renaming the "My Pictures" folder would become GB of data deleted and copied to another folder instead of just a folder/file rename), reading in the forum, I understood the profile must be "smart sync" type to make use of the DB, though the right side is never changed.

My problems:
1) how to copy just recent files? The option "ignore files that have not been modified in the last X days" does another job, since here we need that files "old" have to been deleted from destination, not just ignored. It's like considering a mirror of the source where the source is filtered with the file date, so files not present in the source must be deleted from destination. Did I manage to explaining the scenario?

2) With encryption enabled, SBP does not recognize the file rename/move (it senses a deletion and a copy). I think it's a bug, since I disabled encryption/compression and file rename ARE recognized.

3) Is it possible to not copy empty folders?

The first two points are important (the third is just an optional).
Thanks a lot for your support

Giuse
