Unfortunately, the only reasons I know of for such an error are as per this article

but as you can see, they all relate to the use of VSS which SyncBackFree doesn't (cannot) use, so it's all rather![:shock:]( "Shocked")
But if you do have any such imaging products (or anything else that might use VSS), it may be food for thought. It might also be useful to check your Windows Event Log.
According to our search tools, it's never been reported here before for a version that doesn't support using (thus, doesn't try to use) VSS, so that does suggest something system-specific...
