I was certain that this posted earlier today but it isn't showing up and doesn't appear when I select "View Your posts"
My first "periodical" backup failed this evening. I use an e-sata drive dock for backup and transfers of several disks and swap disks out as needed. The rest of the time it's powered off. It was off when the backup was scheduled. I had expected to receive a prompt telling me of a problem but it just failed instead. Is there an option that might warn me when the destination media isn't ready? I didn't notice one, but there are several pages of settings and maybe I missed it. Also the release notes for SyncBackFree V6.4.3.0 mention "New: New "Run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed" option in Vista and newer task scheduler". I saw no such option, is it in SyncBackFree or Windows Task Scheduler? I don't use Task Scheduler for anything else at this time and haven't paid attention to setup over there.
