I have pondered the idea of installing a copy on each workstation, but I lose the central management. with 30+ PCs, that a big benefit. I also don't want to purchase a copy for each PC (Sorry). I'd also lose my central logging and alerting (I created a script that triggers a daily email report of machines that have not had a successful backup in X amount of days.
That said, do you think the SyncBack Management Service (SBMS)would be a good fit for us? Since the profiles would then sit on the clients instead of the server, would that enable much faster profile creation for me? Looks like it would allow me to still centrally manage them, and keep logging and alerting in place. At $7.40 x 30 users, I can handle that price.
