I tried wading through the topics to find information I need about Incremental Backup, but to no avail. Therefore, I apologize in advance if this topic has been previously covered.
I need to be able to perform one of two types of incremental backups:
1) Software mirrors changed files to master copy set and copies out the older files to a separate location.
2) Software checks master copy against changes on the source, then copies updated files to a fresh directory labeled accordingly.
I can't figure out how SyncBackSE handles these backups. Furthermore, no matter which method that SyncBackSE uses, I need the files in the resulting backup datasets to maintain their full DOS path names. MyNotes.doc means nothing to me outside of its original folder structure.
Can anyone shed light on these questions and provide a start as to how I would set up an incremental backup and have the confidence in knowing that it is functioning the way I need it to? Thanks in advance.
