To give you some more context, I have mapped S: to \\Mars\Shared on my remote machine. When I do this mapping, Windows asks me for credentials, and I have to provide the username on Mars (\\Mars\<username>) along with my password on that machine (although it is the same as the password on my local machine). Once this mapping is done, I can do all read/write operations on \\Mars\Shared.
My SyncBack destination is setup as \\Mars\Shared (not S:), which I don't believe should be an issue. When I do a manual run, everything should be ready to go, but it is failing. I can understand a failure when I do a scheduled run, because the schedular stores the password for the local machine only. This is just my theory, I don't fully understand the intricasies of cross machine logins.
