The SE & Pro versions are separate products, but can be (and should be) installed in parallel with each other for cross-evaluation. Do not install the two different versions to the same folder (just accept the default folders for an easy life). The SE & Pro versions will both uninstall cleanly if you decide not to purchase. If you do decide to purchase, the serial number will unlock whichever version you decide to license. There is no need to uninstall the 'trial' and download a 'registered' version. Entering the serial number converts the former to the latter. Any version you decide not to keep will uninstall without affecting the version you do keep (if any).
Remember that you can always upgrade to a Pro license for just the difference between the costs, so if in doubt whether you (yet?) need the advanced Pro features, it is probably best to start with the SE version.
