Thanks for the workaround Dave. Figures this is a Microsoft thing. I can't believe they wouldn't include a registry setting that would allow us to adjust that time limit.

I'll just have to train myself to use the shorcut instead of the normal shutdown. It's better than not having the PC shut down at all.
