Re: "start with windows" runs but then exits

Classically, the first time I tried it, (after adding a 15s delay to the profile Task), the program Task (with default 5s delay) still self-cancelled! But the 2nd time I tried (and the 3rd), it worked as you describe.

I think there might be issues with internal timings of the Scheduler (sometimes it adds its own delay, at random, to any given Task). This might especially be the case at startup, in an attempt to streamline* the various startup events (some Scheduled, others c/o registry, Startup folder, etc), so it might be a little futile trying to configure around it. But I'll certainly pass on the idea of a longer Delay for RunOnLogin profile Tasks than any StartWithWindows (program only) Task

* MS have long been guilty of trying to make it look like boot times are faster by displaying the desktop when not everything is actually ready, then running around behind the scenes and 'joining the dots' :) which can involve it deciding to unilaterally delay certain processes until others have started/settled. It might be the case that exact outcomes depend on whatever else you have set to start with Windows (and when), which is probably different from here.
