I've been a registered user of SE sine at least early 2011, and have run SE almost daily before shutting down at night. Have been using a second portable PC for ~2 years where LOTS of digital photos are saved. There are so many photos.. that they must be MOVED to various folders in order to manage them.
Lately I try to 'mirror' in SE 6.5.15 and am VERY confused. It says that 3 or 4 GB of files are different, and I see the date stamps have been changed to 12-30-2013 (probably the date the folder was moved?) Is this due to 'moving' the folders in Win 7? What's worse.. HUNDREDS of the photos now have slightly different file sizes!! How can that happen? I'm so confuse as to what happened. SE no longer will let em 'right-mouse' and and select 'Copy to Source' (Green left arrow) like before.. instead must select 'Mirror all to Source' but then.. it says 'Use details from Destination'? Does that mean the correct date stamp?
Tried to search in HELP for these terms but there's no explanation. Is Win7 so much more complex that WinXp where SE worked great? This is not just one profile.. but MANY!!! and 10's of GB of files.
Thanks,
-Gregory
