Hi, I'm an old SyncBack user and I decided to go Pro.
I am a translator and have some profiles running in the background to backup different things of what I am currently working on.
Unfortunately, I read and reread instructions but could never get SBU to backup the open files (always reported as critical errors).
Now on a new laptop with Windows 8, the VSS service is not even available. As far as I found out this is now called File History, which I set up, BUT Windows only allows it to be set up to an external drive (USB/Network) so obviously SBU refuses to copy the open/locked files.
As this is on a laptop, I cannot add a second HDD so I'm limited to USB or Network.
Is there any solution to this?
