No, I had never used the manifest trick, and this is the first time I'm trying to use an on-insert profile for a usb stick.
The previous issue, from the other thread (it's difficult to remember back now) I believe was resolved by recreating the profile from scratch and it began to run without issues. I don't recall the specifics now but I do know I was not being UAC-prompted on every bootup. I believe SBPro was not set to start with windows.. it had regular fast-backup profiles and ran at a set time each morning, in the background, which I still have running and those run fine.
However, now that I'm trying to run a USB stick backup and wanting to do it in a transparent manner (just insert -> mirror) I'm getting the prompt because this time it has to be done with SBPro starting with windows. I suppose I can just deal with the UAC prompt every time I restart, or maybe try the manifest trick. Will have to read up on that.
