Thank you for your answer, Dave.
I apologize for not using the right terminology. You're right that it's MIRRORING what I normally do: I need the destination to be exactly like the source.
I've read your explanations, and I've realized that I didn't describe the scenario that I had in mind. I'll try it again, hoping you that have time to read it and give me your opinion:
1. This is the structure of my source:
\document.doc
\spreadsheets-NNN\document.xls
I run my profile and since my destination is empty so far and I haven't created any rules, I get exactly the same structure in my destination.
2. Now I decide that I don't want to synchronize any DOC files, so I type "*\*.doc" under Files/Folders NOT to copy. This what I get now in destination:
\spreadsheets-NNN\document.xls
It makes sense that document.doc was deleted from destination.
3. Now I decide that I don't want to synchronize any folders containing the string "-NNN", so I type "*\*-NNN\" under Files/Folders NOT to copy. Considering what happened with my DOC file in the step above, I expected the folder to be deleted from destination, but to my surprise the folder did stay in destination.
4. I don't understand what to me is different behaviour: if I tell Syncback not to copy DOC files, it doesn't copy any DOC files, but at the same, it deletes DOC files that were already in destination; however, if I tell Syncback not to copy folders meeting certain criteria, it doesn't delete those folders already in destination meeting these criteria.
5. Would there be a way to force Syncback to do the same with folders as it does with files?
I hope I explained myself better now.
Thank you again for your help!
