You cannot import V6 profiles into V3.
TBH, it sounds to me as though you may have had some corruption going on in the registry where the V3 freeware stores profiles (V6 uses files on disk instead), and that this has been carried into the converted V6 results. I suspect you may need to delete the profiles imported into V6 and create them again from scratch using the wizard
