You can also use the Alternatives buttons on the Simple settings page to transcode a drive letter (you have to specify the drive letter first of all) into a LABEL or SERIAL based Variable (that it can then use next time to query Windows for that alt value and figure out what the corresponding drive-letter is right then).
Windows does not always adhere to drive-letter assignations (I have a Windows 8 PC that regularly doesn't for one drive - no idea why, and I had no issues with same device under old WIn7 PC). Beware of relying 100% on drive-letter locking. And good luck with the new drive!
