It would be more consistent and less confusing if SB merged at least the underlying functions of File/Folder selection for a profile, and its Filters collection.
As it is now separated in two, makes some sense having the Selection override the Filter, but there are some issues with this, namely: when I have many fine tuned customizations to the selection (with the checkboxes) and then decide to add something to the Filter, after that it bombards me with hundreds of dialogs whether I want to INCLUDE/EXCLUDE these customizations to match the filters. Many of them might be interconnected with the new filter (or deleted filter), so I'm forced to carefully read and ratioanlize every decision AGAIN. Annoying to say the least, and prone to errors in rules.
Selections and Filter should be tightly merged so that when I uncheck a checkbox in the Selection view, a filter rule should be created/manipulated to reflect the change, and when I choose to see the, say, "Advanced" rules, I always see the rules matching any selections I have made in the "other" view. And vice-versa.
There are many other inconsistencies and/or illogical things in the interface, but this is the most important that I wanted to pay attention to for now.
