Re: Group Profiles Display Question

Groups are not folders, they are collections of pointers to profiles. If you copy a Group, you also copy the pointers to the (same) profiles*. Any reference to a profile that is running will say so in the Status column, including in any Group (and so will the Group itself). Success, Failure, LastRun (etc) will also update in all references (pointers) to the same profiles (because they are the same profiles, just being pointed at from different locations)

If you modify a profile by clicking the reference to it in a Group this modifies the actual 'central' profile to which all such pointers (um) point. This includes renaming it. If you want to make a 2nd Group with similar profiles, you should Copy the profiles (giving them the new names), Modify the new (copied) profiles, then create a new Group and add them to it.

Profiles in a Group are not necessarily displayed in the order they were created. They are displayed in the order that they will execute if the Group is run (and is set to run profiles sequentially, which is the default). This may (and often does) reflect the initial order in which they were added to a Group (which determines the initial sequence) but you can alter that sequence by Modifying the Group and promoting or demoting a profile by selecting it, then using the arrows on the extreme right.

* This might be useful if you wanted to run the same collection of profiles in two different ways, referencing different Group-level Variables, etc. But you cannot use it as a way to create new copies of profiles en masse. Any copied Group will point to the same profiles as the original Group did.
