If you want to delete all the sub-folders and prevent the base/source folder from being deleted, you can try the settings under

Modify >Expert >Decisions-Files >Folders

which you can choose among two options on how empty sub-folders are handled. The two options are:

- delete folder (if empty) regardless, or

- only delete the folder (if empty) when a file is deleted/moved from it

Either of these settings will delete only the empty sub-folders (on the [Source/Destination] side that you've enabled this option) and should not delete the base/source folder, which is a more efficient method of managing your empty sub-folders.

Note that these settings under the 'Folders' section only affects empty folders, or folders from which no files are copied.

The setting that will delete the base/source folder is located at

Modify > Expert > Copy/Delete > Folders > Delete all the empty directories on [Side]

which is probably the setting you have tried using earlier, and this setting (when enabled) will delete your base folder (if empty). So do not enable this if you do not want your base folder deleted.

For the profile to run when source files changes/are detected, refer to:

Modify > Expert > When > Changes > Run this profile... are changed on [Side]

There is no setting to detect (and start a profile) when a network Destination becomes available; there are only settings to detect when an external drive is inserted into the system (under When > Insert).
