Galaxy S4, Cyanogenmod Android 4.4.4 (M12)
Finding by name just doesn't succeed here.
I can connect by IP address, but not by name.
With the GalaxyS4 awake, with 1.0.18 installed, Connected to WiFi, using EITHER a default name or a custom name, the FIND function in SyncBackPro does not find the device.
If I use the IP address, it finds the device immediately.
I have configured SyncBackPro into the Windows Firewall as an allowed program.
I have never had a problem connecting to the device before, and I use many such things as MediaMonkay, uTorrent Remote, MediaDog, dooblou WiFi explorer, etc. and all seem to work fine.
Hi,
Can you provide us some details of your network setup please, e.g. how is the computer connected to the network, local IP addresses of your computer and of the Android device, any switches and/or routers involved?
For the Find to work, both the computer and the device must be located in the same network subnet. If you have switches or routers involved then most likely it will cause problems since they interfere with the broadcasting packets that SyncBack is using to identify the devices.

Kostas
