Based on my tests, no issues with Versioning on Google Drive. I could back up as well as Restore Versions properly.

The reason the $SBV$ folder is visible is probably because there isn't a usable Hidden attribute on Google Drive, which is why the folder is shown 'in the clear'...

but otherwise, Versioning appears to be working fine with Google Drive.
