Thanks for the response. I do understand conventional incremental and differential backups and the difference between them.
I want to be able to do two somewhat different things.
1. If I have a hard drive crash, restore the most recent backed up copy of every file I lost.
2. Unrelatedly, if I discover at some point that a file I am working with was corrupted *before* my most recent backup, be able to go back through the history to find the most recent uncorrupted version.
With versioning, if I set up a profile saying "copy this folder from drive X to drive Y", it's going to go through the whole thing and copy any folders or files that have changed, store the old versions, and not change anything else. Is that correct?
If so, I *think* that versioning would be ideal for me. But confirmation would be appreciated, since I am new to SyncBack.
Thanks.
But confirmation would be much appreciated!
