Not deleting folders

I got SBSE set to mirror to another computer over the network. I see that at least one folder with a dozen folders inside it has not been deleted from the Destination, even though it was long ago deleted on the Source. All the files in the folders were deleted by SBSE, but not the folders themselves. Why would this be happening? It is a folder that contained html files for web development, if that makes any difference.
