Bear in mind the available decisions in a SmartSync are much more fine-grained, and should be checked to make sure the defaults are what you want. Plus, you should probably run it Simulated and/or attended for at least the first run, not least because on run-1 it has no previous-state History* databases to rely on (yet)
Press F1 with the new Decisions-Files settings page open for contextual Help on the settings.
* hence it cannot evaluate such situations as 'deleted on one side, modified on the other' (and similar) on run-1. All it can tell at that point is 'present on one side, absent on the other'. Only when it has a History to rely on can the more complex situations be detected and acted on.
Note: any previous run of the same profile 'as' a Backup has not stored any state History, because Backup & Mirror profiles don't use it.
