There are about 30.000 to 100.00 files on each drive and not 1.5Mega files.... sorry.

In fact, Windows does not detect or at least we do not see that. As normally these HDs are on servers, maybe at low level device information, but lacking usefull information. And, as individually most of the HDs áreas are not touched for long time (it´s a web and file server), the bits are going out.

Even syncback starts automatically, and I do not have someone looking the log each day.
So, I discover the problem when someone do not find one specific file or when HD crashes.
I take a look at the tool you suggested, but even them suggest backups as the problem arises and so on. As you explained, it

I think the best solution is one attached to syncback, as suggested, as you can even stay days without looking the log. When you look it, you at least will have your lost files in backup.
Also, on my view, if 2brightsparks implemente it, SB will change it class, as so, it will be really taking care of corrupted HDs, that at the end, is one of the biggest reason for a backup software.
