Copying files which are getting written/updated (eMule)

Hello,

If SyncBackSE copies a file while this file is getting updated/written, is there a risk that the file will get corrupted (the source and/or destination)?

I would like to know more precisely about eMule.
Should I close eMule before doing a backup, to avoid corruption of files which are being downloaded (and their backups)?
