OK, I finally was able to change my Windows password. Created a task in Task Scheduler without a password prompt. Created two schedules in SB Se 6 by entering my Windows password. That's the good news. Later that day I created a new profile in SE and attempted to create a schedule. Yup, 'attempted.' On every attempt I got a popup of incorrect password or "Access denied." Have tried it 10-15 times now with the password that worked earlier.
I went back to Task Manager and created a scheduled task with no password prompt. What have I learned/missed?
