Hi, yes I agree it should not create those folders when it's portable. But for the export folder choice, that's actually Windows remembering, not SyncBack.
Edit: Actually, looking at the code, it will not create those folders if you are running from an external drive (at least as far as clicking the "Open" button). Note that the portable version is identical to the normal version. It goes into "portable mode" when running from an external (*) drive, so if you're running it from an internal drive then it will act just as if it was installed. That is by design.
(*) External means a drive that Windows identifies as removable or a RAM disk and also USB or Firewire drives.
