Versioning isn't all that important to me in the backup system because I handle that a different way already. All I really need is to restore to the latest state of the system prior to the drive dying. But having to cherry pick the latest versions when it restores "file X" to location A where it was located on Monday's full backup, and then also restores "file X" to location B where it was located on Tuesday's incremental and location C where it was on Wednesday's backup isn't going to work for me. I need to rethink the whole approach because it's easily going to cost an entire day just to restore a backup and then figure out which copy of the file(s) should remain and which should be deleted.
The "create folders" option is grayed out in the restore, which is why I selected Automatic. That worked for the simulation, but not in the actual restore, which doesn't make sense to me.
