If the file was over-written, I don't think there's any chance for recovery.
If the file was simply deleted, and you happen to be using the "Windows Explorer method of file copying" file copy method AND you have enabled the option "Move deleted files to recycle bin", then there is a chance those deleted files may have been moved to it, otherwise... my condolences...
