Filtering FROM a text file?

I'm new to SyncBack. I'm currently use a trial of the latest v7. I'm a heavy user of Syncovery, but I have a need to run profiles one at a time, and to do that within Syncovery is difficult and a pain to manage.

I sync to an FTP site and have thousands of files that it checks. When using SyncBack, it's a LOT slower than Syncovery when scanning because of the lack of multi-threaded connections. For the purposes of testing this is fine, but the difference is as much as 5 minutes or more.

Most of those files never change and I only want to check a few files/folders for changes. I do NOT want to edit the profile, but would rather have a simple text file that it references for that information. Ultimately I want to password protect the profile and have one of my users edit the text file with the recent file that changed to add to the list to scan. I believe this would cut down the number of files it has to scan as well as give someone else the ability to edit the list of files to scan without giving them access writes to the profile.

Is this possible?

Thanks!
Chris
