You may need to expand the folders so that the contents are enumerated. Until you do, the program may not know what the folder's contents are, so cannot store their details.
Bear in mind that by default (when you create a new profile, and then open the Choose dialog for the first time) all folders are selected, so if you are now re-selecting them, you must have de-selected them at some point. Or, your current Filters actually exclude all files, and the review process when you finalise your Filters has reset all the selections. If so, specific selection must be manual (file-by-file).
Note: if you want all folders selected, you can do so by setting the check-box at the bottom to not use selections at all. The settings will be preserved (in case you want to switch back later) but will be ignored. Any Filters in place will still apply (unless you also switch those off)
Note that if the network share is a non-Windows resource, it may not be enumerating its contents to the Windows API we use. If you expand a folder and it shows as empty, this may apply:
