Sorry, but I can’t reproduce your issue with the inclusion filters: *\, *.pdf.

Instead, can you try with the below filters to see if it resolves your issue:

*\
*\*.PDF

Add them to the 'File/Folders To copy list' on the left side of the ‘Change Filter’ settings page. Click on OK to close the settings page and confirm any questions you may be asked about excluding any matching files.

But the above filter settings might create empty folders at your Destination. If you are backing-up files from a standard resource (local drive or network drive), then you can avoid creating empty directories at your Destination by configuring the option under:

Modify Profile > Expert > Decision-Files > Folders > "What to do if a directory exists on Source but not on Destination" (first section) to "Do Nothing"

OR

If your Source is a non-standard resource (FTP, Cloud, SyncBack Touch etc.,) then you can configure the second section of the Decision-Files > Folders settings page to "Do Nothing" (instead of Automatic).
