I have added a 2nd desktop, and want to duplicate my SyncBack SE setup on my old desktop to the new one.
I will keep my old desktop active, although I will shortly stop running SB-SE there as the new computer will be the primary one. Both machines are on the same network, and see the same drives & clients.
I have >100 profiles set up, and have learned all the hiccups & oddities of SE enough to have customized the settings.
What is the best methodology to set this up on the new computer?
* Will I be prompted for a serial number?
* Can I (should I) use the old version of SE that I'm using now (and is it W7 compliant)?
* W/Vista, I had to go into control panel/scheduled tasks & un-tick the "stop if it takes longer than one day" setting for each profile. Will I need to do that in W7?
* How do I duplicate all my profiles from one platform to the other?
Please treat me as a 4-yr old when you give me the answers. Don't talk about re-installing OS, mucking around in the BIOS, etc. Not savvy enough for that...![Smile :)]()
Here's what I have:
Win Vista Ultimate 32-bit
SB SE V5.9.0.13(purch on order # ST73575760 4/2010)
Here's what I'm going to:
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
I am praying this will be a painless experience...![Laughing ]()
Thanks, John
