When I process RAW images in my working folder the processing software created a file (sidecar) with the name of the image file and a special extension. IE, the RAW file name IMG1234.CR2 and the processing instructions (sidecar) IMG1234.on1 with the resulting jpg file being IMG1234.JPG.

When I move the RAW and JPG files from the working folder to their final folder destination from within my catalog program the associated .on1 file is not moved. I'd like to create a profile to compare the working folder with the destination folder and see if any image file name (before the extension) matches any sidecar with an extension on1 and if so move the on1 file to the destination.

Is there a way to limit the compare to just filename and no extension? Or file name compare to filename + on1 extension?

I'm attempting to create two profiles for two different USB drives where one drive will be used for the ODD week and the other will be used for the EVEN week. I've labeled the drives WD-Y-ODD-4TB and WD-Z-EVEN-4TB. I created two identical profiles, one for each drive and set the setting Profile Setup > When > Insert > checked "Run this profile when:" and set the value for "a disk with the label to "WD-Y-ODD-4TB" for one profile and for the other I set the value to WD-Z-EVEN-4TB.

For each profile for my test, I also checked the When > Changes > "Run this profile when any files or directories are changed on Source".

Also as part of the test, I'm backing up my Documents folder (R:\Libraries\Documents).

Initially, I connected both drives, ran both profiles, disconnected one drive made a change and saved a document. Both profiles attempt to run. The disconnected drive produces a "Scan Failure". I was under the impression that because of the setting "Run this profile when: a disk with the label to "WD-Y-ODD-4TB" was set the profile would not run if the drive was disconnected. Have I done something wrong?

SyncBack Touch • Setup problem ..

Hi I have installed syncback pro on a desktop pc, I just installed syncback touch on another desktop which is not on the same local network, but i cant seem to figure out how to achieve this, i have tried addind the recommended ports in my router but it still fails to establish a connection to the remote pc, any detailed help will be greatly appreciated

I am using Syncbak SE and can no longer run a scheduled backup.. I keep getting the message "Warning:schedule is set to run as a different user" when I try to set it up. This is whether I use the Logged in or not or the When logged in option. I have only one account on this machine and am logged into it. :roll: :roll:

I am using windows 10 64 bit and am running syncbak se V5.20.0.0

We have fixed this error in one of the releases of V7. You can refer to the change history of SyncBackPro/SE here (check under the release note of V7.3.3.6):

Hi there
I have been using this program for a long time and I am happy about it but for some months this program has made me a mistake that I can not solve.
the program finishes the mirror copy and the log reports that it failed for the following error: D: \ Config.Msi \
the settings are mirror copy of the hard disk D on the hard disk F. hard disk D is the disk with all my data while hard disk F is an external USB hard disk.
When I start the backup it immediately communicates the error and the same error is communicated in the final log

can someone help me solve the error and be able to use the program for my mirror copy?

SyncBack Touch • Left or Right?

I have noticed that when I set up a SyncBack Touch operation in SyncBack Pro (both latest version), the copy from a drive on the Touch machine to a NAS device correctly shows with the Left/Source as the Touch machine, and the NAS as the Right/Destination in the main window. But on the screen to confirm the actions, they appear as Right/Source and Left/Destination, and all the backups are shown as moving from right to left.

I find this extremely confusing and counterintuitive. What can be done to correct it? Even if there was some weird reason to show Touch operations differently, it makes no sense for the confirmation window to be the opposite way round from the main window.

In older versions of SBF, this used to appear in the text version on the log. With the new version, I am only seeing source copied.

With the old version, that difference told me that when a source was copied, it had changed as opposed to Not in destination, source copied which meant the file was new.

Am I missing a setting to have the Not in destination, source copied appear in the log? Is this no longer available? Is it only available in paid versions?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

The reason for this in SyncBack any non-standard resource (SyncBack Touch, Cloud, FTP etc.,) use a plug-in, and the socket for the plug-in is only on the 'right-hand-side' of the code. So, when you create a profile to backup files from a non-standard resource, we have to re-wire the profile, so that it maintains this orientation (non-standard resource on right side) and data is set to flow from right to left to achieve this. Hi,

In SyncBack V8.5.33.0 (Free, Lite, SE or Pro), when a new file is copied or existing file is updated, then the 'Copied, deleted, renamed, and changed' section of the log file simply shows 'Copied to Destination'.

Hi.
I have my system imaging to an external drive. I'd like to schedule SyncBack Pro to copy that last file to a different external drive to take off-site each evening.
My external drive keeps 2 weeks worth of images before purging (large drive), and the drive I want to copy to is much smaller (I won't be able to use a simple complete Backup of the whole folder with the images), so it will only have the last previous image.
What I'd like to do, is after a new image is created, copy that new image to the other external drive folder that has the previous image and delete the old file that's already there. It can't overwrite it because the image filenames are always different.
Any thoughts on how to setup the instructions to do this?

It would be helpful if the modification of the notification setting transcended devices. What a PITA to have to manually adjust each profile at home and work :-)

Seem to be getting max 1.5 MBps speeds.... starts at it usually starts at around 200 KBps and up to 1.5MBps at the end of the file and then restarts this speed for next file...

Then this happens What is this. Waiting for cloud service to finish upload...

Why is SyncBack only able to upload 1 file at a time, the Amazon app can upload I think 5 files at the same time.

166 days+, thats insane, I have 1000/1000 fiber connection.
