Before running a backup of OneDrive to a local drive it's scanning every single folder in OneDrive even though the backup plan only dictates one folder to be backed up.

Would be great if we could copy directly from a cloud provider to another cloud provider. I use CloudBerry for that currently but I have to maintain two separate applications and pay for updates on both. Would be great if you could pick a cloud providers as both a source and destination and then use a cache folder on the local server to hold files.

There doesn't appear to be a way to authorize multiple Onedrive accounts. E.g. one profile to backup one profile OneDrive. And another profile to backup another OneDrive.

OneDrive Personal profiles appear to only use one download thread. With tens of thousands of files this means it takes hours even if it's on fiber internet.

Hi,

The REST API that we are using in SyncBackPro to interface with OneDrive (for consumer, Business and Sharepoint) does not allow us to upload/download files in multiple threads. Note that SyncBackPro supports multi-threading (multiple simultaneous connections) with cloud services that supports threaded access e.g. Amazon S3, Azure, Google Storage, Backblaze B2 and OpenStack.

Hi Guys,

I'm have a backup running from a dropbox share to a local network share. The problem I have is that the files are being detected as changed when they are not. When the file comparison window pops up the Date / Time column for the Dropbox side is empty and so the profile then re-downloads all the files (about 8000 of them :shock: )

I'm also getting a lot of Critical errors of the type "Failed to copy from Dropbox : path/not_file/..."

do i need to use an external comparison program for Dropbox ??

Hi Micky,
1st off, Great work on improving and cleaning up the V9 GUI!
I have another issue to report where the SyncBack Pro 'Profile requires your attention...' notifications are not getting removed/cleaned up after the file 'Preview' window has been closed or if an error message box is shown. After the user selected timeout (typically 5 seconds) has occurred, they just end up (start piling up) in the Action Center panel. (See attached screen Shot). This is frustrating because they needlessly clutter up the Action Center and have to be manually dismissed (X) by the user, even after the profile(s) have successfully completed and/or the SyncBack program has been closed.

Can you please remove these irrelevant/left-over notifications? (as soon as the required user action has been satisfied?)

SyncBackFree (freeware) • Syncback losing access to Gmail

Just received an email from google saying that Syncback will no longer be able to access some data in your Google Account, including your Gmail content. If these apps are unable to meet the deadline to comply with our updated data policy requirements, they'll lose access to your Account starting July 15th, 2019. Checking my google account it shows that Syncback has access to Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail as well as see and download all of your Google Account email addresses. It also says that this is an unverified developer. I use the feature to send myself log files for scheduled backups. Be nice to know if 2brightsparks plans to fix this.

I've received the same email and I would like to keep the email log setup that SyncBack Free provides. I tried setting it to another email account but it fails for some reason, so I'd prefer to use Gmail as it's my main account. Please, 2BrightSparks, make it so.

I updated to V9.0.6.5 but it still looks monochrome to me apart from blue green and red in a few areas e.g. green ticks, red crosses, blue highlight on profile, the majority is still monochrome. Confused.

SyncBackPro (commercial) • Shift + Up/Down to select files not updating UI immediately

The selection of files in the Differences screen doesn't update immediately when Shift selecting with the Up/Down arrows. It only updates the visible selection after releasing the keys. This makes it difficult when selecting lots of files.

In V8 it updated immediately as expected.

I just updated from V8.5.122.0 to V9.0.6.5 and in the main interface I lost all the previous info on the columns: last run, last successful run, result. It happened only to me? Any way to have them back?

Also sorry, but I can't see what "Slide out automatically" does. I read "If you don't want the progress to be displayed, switch off the option Slide out automatically", but still see no differences.

On Win10, on the "differences for profile" window when you select an item marked as "copy to destination" with a white background in the column Destination: you don't see the item name at all!

Hello everybody, I'm facing a problem with Syncback free (I'm using now the new V9.0.6.5 version, but i noticed the problem since a long time).
Sometimes, when i want to look at logs for my bakups i have an error message indicating the file does'nt exist.
And effectively, the directory in which HTML log files should be placed is empty.
If I try to look at log file just after having ran the profile, it's ok, files are there
Did someone ever noticed this problem ?

Sorry, we can’t reproduce your issue. Please check if you have created any profile in SyncBackFree to delete log files from the log storage location?
