SyncBackPro (commercial) • OneDrive "items retrieved"

I'm a new user of SyncBackPro. I've configured a number of new profiles to mirror content on a local drive to my OneDrive personal account. On a few of these profiles, during the "scanning OneDrive (personal)" phase, I get a status n of n delta items retrieved. What I'd like to understand is what are these delta items? The reason I ask is this. As an example, I have a local folder with 122 files in 22 folders that I mirror to OneDrive. However, SyncBackPro identifies and retrieves 19,968 delta items. The profile does complete successfully.

The behaviour is not consistent. I have other mirror to OneDrive profiles which don't report any delta items, they just count up the files and mirror any changes. Others have more files locally, circa 5,000, and SyncBackPro will report something in the region of 1,000 delta items. When I look at the logs there is no mention of delta items, just files that are mirrored.

Can anyone shed light on what these "delta items" are. I'm confused.

I ran SyncBackFree,which copied 2655 files to my Backup device. However it indicated 115406 errors. I see a lot of the same error in the log file and I have approximate 75 log pages. I have never had this before.

Example ares:

This last type of messages I received form log page 20 uptill 60. All the same message with different filenames like the following on page 60:

What is happening with the SyncBackFree run? Has somebody a suggestion. Do I have to change settings of something else???

When I am creating a new profile and choose to mirror my "documents" folder to a single compressed file on my external hard drive it only mirrors some of the folders, not all of them. Why would it do this? I want to backup all the folders in my documents folder.

I suggest you look closely at "Choose sub-directories and files" and "Change Filter" as I usually find there are some not checked or a filter is wrong.

I am having a similar problem, I think it might be a bug in the program. When I create a new profile, choose mirror, select my documents folder and then run it, less than 1/2 the folders are copied to the new destination.

Hi everyone,

I want to mirror my iCloud photos through the iCloud software/connector to a local disc. I've setup a backup job and it works when I start it interactivly, but if I schedule it I get this error:

Code: 

Failed to copy from Source : Cannot copy file (395): Der Zugriff auf die Clouddatei wurde verweigert
(access denied to cloud file)

Windows 10 64-bit, iCloud 11.4

Any ideas?

I'm missing the SyncBackPro icon in the systray when scheduled tasks are running. It might be since I switched SyncBackPro from 32-bit to 64-bit, but I don't know (I think I haven't seen it since months) ...

SyncBackFree (freeware) • Network Connection Lost

Hello. I have been rocking SBF for a few years now and I am currently using v9.4.3.0. I use it to back up USB drives but I keep getting a Network connection lost error when I try and run my backups. I can't figure out what's going on. Any ideas?

After scouring this forum, I'm still unable to get this to work.

I want to copy all folders that contain a given name *anywhere* in the file's full path name. When I add this:

Code: 

*/*/My Folder Name/*
to the "include" filters, no files are selected.

I'm running version: 8.9.15.0 (64 bit) / Windows 10

More info please. What kind of network exactly, what OS, how long does it run before error, is it always using the same usb device, what kind of device, can you tell if the error comes from the OS or SBF, is the error exactly "Network connection lost error" with no error code number or additional wording?

Hi

I recently started using SyncbackSE to transfer about 35TB of data between servers. Basically I am consolidating 27 servers on X domain on to 2 servers on Y domain.

When the domains were created and the users migrated all groups and user account naming was kept the same and SID history was copied as well.

Now I need to replicate the permissions for all the folders with y\ instead of x\. Is there a way I can do this when I copy permissions using SyncBackSE?

I think what you want is:

*\
*\My Folder Name*\*

Note the * after My Folder Name.

Is it possible to have Syncback Pro rerun a backup profile one time after a failure is reported? I have several profiles backing up to Amazon S3 and every now and then i get an error that says the file parts were out of order. Simply rerunning the profile gets the data backed up. It would be nice to automate that until I can fix the actual cause of the error.... which still eludes me.

Is there an EASY way tell Syncback to EXCLUDE some or all of the files / folders shown under the Log's "Warnings" and "Errors" pages?

IE can you add an option to the Log webpage, so I can right-click on a failed file (e.g. a Cannot copy file (5): Access is denied" file) and select from "Exclude this file from future scans", or better, "Exclude the parent folder from future scans"?

Is it safe to use Syncback to backup sensitive files? If I sync from a PC to an external HD, do any files get kept in temp folders for example? Or any logs kept anywhere?

checked the option? where is this setting? :?: #-o

So I checked the option to have the profiles recorded in the same directory than the application (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\2BrightSparks\SyncBackPro\ ).

Hello,

Is it possible to exclude certain submaps in de destination map using the mirror profile.
Otherwise some important submaps will be deleted since they are no longer in the source

SyncBackPro (commercial) • [Request] Tree view in differences window

I'm a huge fan and long time user of SyncBack - especially as it had steadily improved during the years. There is just one gripe I have with it which is still unsolved. On a profile run, if the change is more than 100+ files, The differences window is barely usable. It's just one huge, long list of files.

It would be awesome to have some sort of tree view to this. I understand it is not easy to do with how this window was thought to work. So here is an idea: an optional sidebar to the existing differences view, which would show all the folders involved in the operation in a tree. On the right side, only the files in the selected folder would be shown. Clicking on the root of the tree would show all files (=what is shown now).

Besides better ordering, this would open up further possiblities, like one could even select/deselect a checkbox next to folders to skip all files in that folder.
