I believe you would need either syncbackSE or SyncbacPRO to do Fastback incremental.

SyncBackPro (commercial) • How to show success when 1-2 files failed

It is happening very often that 1-2 files were locked or name was too long and etc.
The result is showing FAILURE and in the email also I receive a FAILURE result.

How can I make it show FAILURE only when there was a complete failure, not just when some files were skipped?

Just installed and run software. All went well excelt OneDrive. OneDrive cannot be backup up. Get this message:
\OneDrive\.849C9593-D756-4E56-8D6E-42412F2A707B because of running processes?

How to resolve?

For anyone having the same issue.

The issue occurs (at least in my case) when the File-on-Demand setting was enabled.

In Settings / File-on-Demand there is a checkbox Save space and download files as you use them which when checked, the files are not necessarily stored locally, and that messes up SyncBack Free.

Hello,

I've got the same problem:
Path in SyncBack Touch Profile is SDCARD but the shown directory is the internal storage of the phone.

No help available?

SyncBackFree (freeware) • Mirror mode works as Backup mode

I select the Mirror mode, from source to destination.
Source is a folder on local C drive.
Destination is a mapped drive Z: using RaiDrive to mount OneDrive for Business.
Whenever I run this job, it copy all files from the source to Z:
Please help.

I"m sure this is obvious, but I"m missing it....... I'm running 9.2.xxx on Windows 10. Works fine except I can't specify the columns I want to see during the run. I want to remove "Background", and add "Progress" (I think) - the place where it shows that work is getting done - scanning, file copying and deleting and such.

I think want you want can be accomplished by clicking on "View" at the top and then clicking on the down arrow in the box to the right. Then you can uncheck "Background" and check "Progress".

Need help.

How to setup this in a new profile:

Make a copy of all newly created files, and
Make a copy of previous files but only files that has been changed since the last time this profile was run

These files must be stored on the destination drive in a newly created folder that shows the date and time

How do I make this profil ?

Is it possible to click on a profil in the overview, and choose the explorer to open the source/destination location in the profile – a kind of shortkey ?

SyncBackPro (commercial) • Profile running of file change after external drive re-connection?

Hello,

I have set up a regular backup (external SSD drive) to do a fast backup of changed data if the computer is idle for 300 seconds. If the drive is installed this works fine. If I have it disconnected I accidentally get a "Scan failure". When I then reconnect the drive the profile does not run. If I recall correctly when I last set up this arrangement on my old laptop (which suddenly broke down and I purchased my current one) the profile would still run if I reconnected the drive and the computer was idle for the 300 seconds.

Am I recalling this correctly or do any forum members have any experience of this. Any help would be appreciated.

I am using Windows 7 , about to upgrade to 10
I have run synchbackfree several times with good result. I tried a run with hashing and the slow m=ethod just to see if it made a difference. I was worried that some changes to properties might not be in the backup file.
This took a long time but eventually worked OK
After a couple of runs I suddenly got Disk full" errors.
I looked at the disk and added up the amount on each file to get to about 700GB The disk is 1.5TB A back up file is about 400GB.
In the properties of the disc it shows the whole disk is used but I dont know what its full of? Is this a known problem with synchbackfree or should I be looking for some other problem. I can't delete the extra apparently used part of the disk space because it doesn't have a filename associated with it.
I expect I could reformat the drive but then I lose anything else that is on the drive. In this case if I have to reformat it wouldn't matter much because everything there is archived BUT I dont want to have to reformat it and lose data frequently

I recently updated to V9.2.30.0 and I'm experiencing some strange problems when creating new profiles. My old profiles work great but it's not possible to create a new profile like the old ones.

Computer OS and hardware info.
  • Windows 10 home version 1930 with all current updates.
  • Dell Inspiron 3670 that is a bit over a year old.
  • Intel I5-8400 cpu. 6 Cores 6 Threads.
  • 8 GB Ram
  • 1TB hard drive
FYI, here are the drives on the system
  • Drive C is the boot partition on the internal 1TB hard drive. Partition size is 275 GB.
  • Drive D is a 4 TB USB HDD.
  • Drive H is on the internal 1 TB hard drive. Partition size is 641 GB. I shrank the C partition and created the H partition with a larger cluster size which reduces fragmentation and shrinks some system files like MFT.
  • Drive M is a 6 TB USB HDD.
  • Drive Q is a 8 TB USB HDD. It is a backup drive. Most of Drives H, D, and M are mirrored there using SyncBackFree. Selected configuration and data files on drive C are mirrored there.
Now for the new problems
  • When creating a new profile, I can name the profile and tell it what kind of profile. I use a mirrored profile but I also tested the other 2 types and I get the problem on backup or synchronize profiles.When I get to the 3rd screen where I am supposed to select the "Internal/External drive, network path, etc.", the dropdown box has 2 entries, "Internal/External drive, network path, etc." and "FTP". It doesn't allow me to select anything else and the "NEXT" button remains grayed out. All I can do is click "DONE" and select the source/destination in the main profile setup window.
  • The old profiles copy from/to sub-directories of various drives. Even though I set the Source and Destination to sub-directories (some times 3 to 5 levels deep), such as mirroring from "H:\Unchanging\MiscBackups\Users\" to "Q:\IMSAI\DriveH\Unchanging\MiscBackups\Users\", when I got to the "Choose sub-directories and files" screen, it might work or it might also include some things that are on the drive but not in the source directory. Sometimes it even wants to copy from/to the drive root directory which really is a big problem.
  • None of the "Don't show this again" check boxes on messages actually prevent the message from being shown again. I know that when you mirror files, while running the profile the check box on the message that warns you that the profile can delete files from the destination, hasn't work in previous versions either.
That's all the problems I can remember at the moment. I currently have a serious sleep deficit and my memory is not so great. I'm in my 60s and currently suffering from a flareup of Acute Congestive Heart Failure so I have little energy and need a lot of sleep until the meds fix it. I hope these problems get fixed in SyncBackFree get fixed. I might even upgrade to a paid version (SyncBackSE) when I'm sure that SyncBackFree is fixed and stable.

SBM Service and Console • Suggestions

Hi everyone,

In recent days we have started working with SBM. I have some doubts and suggestions:

1. In "History", is it possible to save the number of days and not leave the 7 by default? Loading times are veeeery different.
2. In "History", is it possible to filter by computer name? Obviously, without alphabetizing the column.
3. In "History", is it possible to hide the disabled profiles? With a check, for example.
4. In "History", the column field selector doesn't display the last lines correctly, unless the resolution is extremely small. The arrow doesn't work. ("Compression Errors" is the last line that is displayed well).
